THE HISTORY

This home was originally built as a duplex in 1887 for the tenant farmers of the 600 acre Font Grove estate owned by Colonel James Hendrick, a director of the Delaware Hudson Railway.    At one time 4 families who worked at the estate shared this 4000+ square foot home. Although many updates have been done over time there are still many unique features and Grey Gables has not lost its original Victorian era charm.
